Have a bit of a problem with my driver side door and was wondering if anyone has fixed/found a solution for this. I have tried opening the door skin and played around with the cables, but I could not find the issue.
My door will not open and the lock mechanism looks to be stuck. When I press the unlock button I can hear the lock motor try rapidly unlocking it 3 times and fail. Pulling on the handle inside and out will not work.
Any input is appreciated! All I need is a solution to open the driver side door so I can tear everything apart.
P.S. passenger side door became unresponsive also but the lock mechanism works still (lock pin goes up and down).
P.S. #2, this issue is not weather related as I have had this problem since summer.. just sick of crawling through the passenger side!
You'll definitely want to try and get into the panel to see if it's the bowden cable that is the issue (probably isn't because you'd most likely be able to open from the outside) or if something is not attached or the actuator isn't working properly. Some advice on post #13 for removing it while the door is closed. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ml#post3049828
