Driver's Window STUCK

03 MCS I just bought as a "project". Driver's side window doesn't work. I acquired a new motor and take the door apart. First thing I notice is the connector is disconnected from the motor. I plug it into the new motor and it drives the motor. At least that works. I follow the many writeups on taking the window out so I can take the regulator out. I can get the front slide to come down, but not the back one. so I can only unscrew one of the star shaped wheels holding the window in. I tried screw in the cable to loosen it to get it around the pulley. No dice. I ended up cutting the cable. still no movement. I need the back side of the window to lower 2" so I can take the damn star wheel out and remove the window. Any other suggestions on getting that side of the regulator to move? Or an alternative?

Since you already cut one cable go ahead and cut the other it should move freely after that. Obviously you will need a new regulator but it's not too bad to replace.
We have the tool to get the star wheels off if you need.
