oil leak

oil leak

Hi,
My mini is a 09 stock and the other day the oil light came on and when i looked under the hood there was oil everywhere. huge puddle on the floor, and a trail of where I drove. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...1&d=1434142419

Hello ,

Looks like maybe the timing chain tensioner came out ? clean it up and look more into where it is coming from. Don't start the car or drive it, you have a major leak , ( which you do ). You will stare the engine of oil.

Thanks! Yeah it's a non S. I'm trying to get it out now. Gotta take the throttle body off it seems in order to get the bolt out. Thanks again for the information!
