I know that in other cars, it's pretty simple. You just start taking stuff off the intake side of the engine until you get to the valve...

ugh. up here in northern VT it has been -20 to around 0 for about a week now. this has been coming and going. I have been told to flog my car more to clear it out. "italian tune up" if you will.

I just passed 96K and out of my CPO for a month when it happened. This never happened last year with the same temps, etc.

I want to take this car to 200K, I hope it wont keep happening.
In Finland Mini sells "cold climate" intake manifold, where the condensate is led past the throttlebody. There are also rumors that it would reduce oil consumption.I try to find spare part number into the this manifold.I myself have used it and not icing problems with throttlebody. The consumption of oil I can not say anything ...

don't believe you can get a "cold climate" intake for a non turbo model...correct me if I'm wrong cause I have the same issues with my justa and would swap the intake in a heartbeat

Yeh, I think only "S" models, but I not sure..I found some info,"cold climate" intake manif. part no:11614584240 and air channel 13742756043.This parts they change, when you have this throttlebody freezing problem.I tried to make sure the right part number on RealOEM/ETK,but it does not find the part..hmmm strange.
