Mystery clip under shifter. .see pic (fixed the link)
Hi all hoping someone can help me figure this out..this is a pic of under the shifter boot, I have stiff left to right movement and was greasing it and found a loose clip circled in pic. Any ideas?

The little gold clip is from the heated seat/mirror adjustment module. They fall out all the time when you remove the module to get the center console out.
Not a major deal, and if you felt the need to you could get it out of the shift housing and remove the little module and clip it back in, but chances are you'll knock 2 more loose by taking it out again.
They slide right back in, so no worries.

+1 what Nick said... When removing the center console you need to remove the Mirror Adjuster Switch Assembly to get to a pair of screws. The metal clip is part of the retainer clips for it. I generally remove the two metal clips on the shifter side to ease the the removal, then when I have the Switch Assembly out I slide the clips back into place before resetting the Mirror Adjuster Switch Assembly.
You can reach in and grab it with a magnet and hang onto it. It being out really isn't an issue.

Yea, its that switch. Should go back in.
