New 03MCS owner with a problem
Hi
Just picked up a low mileage (49K) 03 MCS, excellent shape and all stock except for an intake. Looked along time and found this great car so excited and drove around for a couple hours after purchase had a blast. Until in traffic the low oil pressure light came on:((( Pulled over and check oil it was full and it was just changed from the Mini dealer. Went away with revs and drove around again didnt come back for few days then happened again. It is now parked in the garage and my plan is to do an oil/filter change to Mobil 1 and check out the filter and housing to see if there is an issue with the bypass valve. I am also planning on changing the pressure switch at the same time. Anything else I should be looking at?
Love the car and have some plans for mods but want this issue fixed first. This is a great site with lots of info, thxs. Ill post pics soon...

Well tore it all apart last night..
First thing is a gorilla put on the drain plug and the oil filter cap that was ridiculous!!!!! Ordering a Fumoto valve for future oil changes..
The filter looks good and the valves inside the housing are all there and in the right places. So still gonna change the pressure switch and hope that is the problem. The only thing that was different was it has the new style cap so no spring needed.
