Fixing to order a rear sway bar and need advice

Hi guys, I’m fixing to order a sway bar for my R53 Project car and not sure which one to get.
I’ve been told to keep with the 19mm solid as the 22+ is mostly for track but I see a lot of people using the 22mm. I was also told to stick with Hotchkis and to stay away from hollow so that rules out the hollow Hotchkis 22mm????? Here are the ones I’ve been looking at.
· H-Sport Competition Rear Sway Bar 22mm (hollow)
· H-Sport (Hsport) Sway Bar 19mm (solid)

· NM Engineering’s 22mm (solid)

· Madness MINI Cooper 22mm (forged)

Thanks for any help.

Here is a few links to my little Project WORX

I would not be overly concerned about hollow vs. solid. A lot of people swear by the 25.5mm hollow while others really like the 22mm solid. I would at least get 22mm or up.

One thing to consider, I have the NM 22mm and like it but unfortunately it creaks so I have to lube it every 4 months or so. The Hotchkis bushings on the other hand have grooves to help prevent this. If I was to do it over, I'd try out the 25.5mm Hotchkis.

Not sure if others experience this creaking or not.

The answer depends on what other items you plan on changing...if you add front camber plates, you can go smaller "bigger" sway bar...same can be said for driver skill level...more skill can usually use a bigger bar and not get into trouble from a patch of sand, wet spot or ice...
If you lived in a very salty area...might say the hollow bar might not be worth the weight savings... But I do my mods to improve the car in both performance AND long term relilibility...
The biggest difference in the bars are the quality of the bushings...
Some have zerk fittings so they can be greased with a grease gun...some have groves to hold the grease....some like the ones on my car have Teflon coatings, also forged, shotpeened, nicely finished and German made....some are just spray painted...I have a 19 mm H&R...BEAUTIFUL...but milder than most want...but no clunks or squeeks...been about 6 YEARS...no lube.
Many folks seem to like going cheap...but IMO it is a false sense of economy...
But only you know if you are just going to keep the car or mod it, and sell it..

For the R53 this is old news the Hsport Comp bar we've found to be the best on the middle setting and the ideal rate for the car.
The 19mm bar just leaves you wanting more rotation.

The Hsport Comp bar is be best cause it is the lightest, powdercoat quality holds up, the bushings have a nice grease channel to hold the grease and keep it quiet, and the brackets have zerks to regrease it later if you need to.

The NM 22mm bar isn't bad, but it is expensive and harder to install with the larger aluminum machined brackets.

The Madness bar I find to have low quality powdercoat, and the bushings don't hold the grease as they are just knurled with no grease channel.

The 19mm Hsport bar is same quality as the comp bar, just not as stiff and solid.

The 19mm TSW bar is equal quality the Hsport, but more cost effective as it has the ends welded on rather than pressed.

Also if you order by the end of the day tomorrow we have FREE SHIPPING on all order except Milltek so it saves you a few as bars are expensive to ship.

Way,
What about the Sway bar endlinks??? Is this something that we should consider since it will all be apart?? The stockers look a little wimpy.
