Slow throttle response and more
Slow throttle response and more
I'm somewhat of a new Mini owner. Purchased a 2006 non S CVT with 20k mi and was like new, but found after that the seat sensor for the airbag was broken, again, 2nd time in this car's history, so I just got a bypass on ebay and motor on. I'm curious if there's a ECU upgrade or something I can do to fix the terrible lag when punching the throttle. If I want to get up and go fast and put the peddle to the floor, it's at least a 2 second wait before the car even goes!?? Also, while sitting in traffic, the car jerks, as if it's bouncing between 1st and 2nd gears. I've read and searched, but come up with little. I've flushed the CVT with fluid and it helped a little, very little. I'm hoping there's a performance flash or something that will improve this little car's negative qualities that I've just described. Any help would be appreciated.
Throttle response can be resolved via a sprint booster..there is a cheaper alternative - can't remember the name.

My partner has a CVT Justa and it was dead as mutton from day one. Minor improvement by cleaning out the throttle body drillings etc. Sorry mate, your performance sounds about normal for what you have.
