DSC light runs rough

2006 GP with 12,800 miles, driving along no problem went into a right hand turn at less than 35 half way throught the corner started to accel out of corner and DSC, check eng light came on and eng started running very rough as if on 3 cylinders. only 5 miles from home so turned around and headed that way. The eng would accelerate and kept speed below 40. Coming to a stop 1/2 mile from house DSC light went out and car ran absolutely normal. Check eng light still on but otherwise it runs perfect. GP is stock except for catback exhaust. Any ideas?

It is the Service Engine Soon light that is on.

Obvious limp mode, check for codes, hopefully that will give you a hint. With that few miles, I'm not sure what to check, all should be like new. Unless something like a plug wire is loose/ cracked from sitting.

With mine a few months back...
It initially threw s DSC light...slight idle change...then on a hard pull, threw a code, and ran rough at higher rpms under load...in my case the t-map sensor was bad....(mini uses a R50 t-map for a cold side map, and a different t-map sensor on the hot side...looks same, but different).
Pull the code...
I found could reset the light..but when push it would return, and would enter limp mode.....
But till you get the code....I would not throw any parts at the car...everything is just a guess and speculation.

Thanks Zip I read your posts and with this car being babied andsuch low miles I hope it is something simple. Could it be something in the DSC module, doesn't it retard timing to reduce power and tgherefore couldn't it overcompensate and not return to normal right away. Just a thought. Taking it in tomorrow so we'll see. cheers
