Weirdest thing
33k miles no squeaks...knock in wood
Update for everyone involved... JUST got the car back yesterday finally (mechanic was on vacation). Replaced every motor mount with poly bushings (except the cone shaped one...which was broken into two pieces...just bought another oem one) plus the trans mount and control arm bushings. Car feels amazing, I recommend everyone to do this eventually to their r53! Huge thanks to everyone who put their thoughts and help into this thread.
Perfect, thanks... I'm going for it!
Glad to hear you're fixed, safe and finally out of the ditch!

Not changing to Powerflex LCA bushings when the OEM ones wear out is simply a mistake. They are better all around and will last a lifetime. Who would want to do or pay to do that job ever again? It’s not easy, fun or cheap.

Glad you were able to get things fixed. Feels like a whole new MINI I bet.

Artoo got Powerflex LCA bushings two years ago and I have not perceived any squeaks or Noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH). I am sensitive to noises and squeaks and there have been NONE.

I would definitely recommend everyone to swap out their bushings to poly ones eventually as a upgrade. Well worth it and makes the car feel like it "should" in my opinion...but with that being said...it it's not one thing it's another...now my car has hesitation going from low RPMS to higher ones. Hesitation between no boost-> into boost, then pulls hard. That little grey area in between hesitates...I would imagine that this should be a smooth transition and pulls even throughout.
I've done some research and it could be the crank pulley and or dampener? Wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem before...

Had/have similar problem with mine, part of my list of issues was the Bypass Valve which solved the "yoyo" effect but I still am working through the hesitation issues. My thread may sound familliar if you check it out. I know there's several on here that helped me through a bunch of details.
