My wife's '07 Cooper S is throwing the p3091 code and going into limp mode at our local autox when she is at wot. Sounds like the hpfp from what I can discern from searching here. Does anyone know if this is covered under the new 10 yr/120k mile warranty on the fuel pump that mini has announced.


The car is scheduled for dealer service in 2 weeks, and the advisor agreed the fuel pump is covered under the new warranty, but said they don't discuss codes (kinda stupid, but it is what it is) and we'll just have to see if that's what they diagnose to see if I gotta pay or not. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

 

yeah it could be the hpfp, easiest thing to start with since it's under warranty. it's a low fuel pressure code. my 2011 is on it's 3rd pump.
