HELP! Car Made A POP
HELP! Car Made A POP
I was driving on the highway the other day in my 04 Mini Cooper S and I heard a POP!!. The check Engine light came on and when I was trying to give it gas nothing was happening. I jept giving it gas and I had no power the car just kept slowing down. I pulled over on the side of the highway turned the car off for a min then turned it on again and it started to drive but the checl engine light was still on. Does anyone know what this may be?
Yea it started up fine again. The check engine like was on yesterday but when I turned the car on today it wasn't there anymore. I got a appointment with my lock shop tomorrow morning. I also have a strange sound every time I go over 2000 rpm's and the higher it goes the faster the sound. It's coming from the passenger side of the engine it's like a ticking/knocking/vibration sounds.

had this same problem two days ago. my sc pulley came loose so when the car got past the rpm when boost kicks in the car goes into limp mode til you reset it. open your hood and she if you can wiggle the pulley around

You need to add more cream cheese to the smoked salmon dispenser.
Oh wait no, do this ^^.
I didn't get a code but the mechanic told me it was the timing chain. I know theres a lot of mechanics that just want to make a extra buck so they try and have u replace everything. With the timing chain what do I need?. I know the chain, tensioner, rails and stuff but do I really meed new sprockets and a new timing cover? Im on a tight budget so if its not broken or cracked is it okay for me to not get it replaced?
