Triangle Warning Light, but No Codes??

So I have an 07 MCS with 60k and last night, this "warning light" came on. I pulled the code number with an OBDII and it came up as P0601. Generic code is for a misfire, but for MINI it is something really odd - "internal memory" something ..

This morning I ran the OBDII scan again out of curiosity for whatever reason .. the code has disappeared .. but the warning light remains. The weirdest part is that there is NO service light or indicator when I check using the BC control. Nothing. Just the little triangle near my odometer, and nothing else.

Car runs great, doesn't seem to have any loss of power. Fluid levels are in check. Valves were blasted less than 3000 miles ago. Spark plugs changed less than 3000 miles ago. Interior/Exterior lights all work fine.

Anyone ever had a similar experience or heard of something like this??

Silly type of "is it plugged in" question:

How's the fuel level? Did it get town to two carrots?

No, I still have just over half a tank. I scheduled an appointment with my local MINI dealer .. but honestly .. I hate the thought of having to bring it in JUST for a code that shows no warnings .. it's odd.

Warning triangle can be anything...cold temps outside, low washer fluid, etc. Should let you know through the obc or codes at least what category it is.
