Caution if you have a Pro Mini Upper Strut Bar.
Caution if you have a Pro Mini Upper Strut Bar.
This may have been talked about before, but I have not been on line here for awhile. I just did my first oil change on my 03 Cooper S. To make life a little easer to change out the oil filter I removed my Pro Mini upper strut bar. To my SUPRISE
The bar just about rubbed a hole through the AC line (I think its the ac line. It reads R34 or R35 on it.)
If you standing in front of your MINI, look to the left side by the upper motor mount. Have any of you come across this? If so, what did you do? For right now Im leaving the bar off till I can figure out what to do.

That is not a refrigerant line, i's actually the fuel line. The hose is the pressurized source line, and there is a return line alongside of that. Regardless, any abrasions here are not a good thing! The best way to prevent abrasions such as this is to first make sure there is no movementbetween the items. If there is, then relocating one of them (the line in this case) would be the best things to do. Also, shielding the line with a wrap of rubber sleeving will help protect it.
