Power window, clock, and door lock issues.

It all started a few months ago when one of the license lamp lenses fell off my 2008 MCS. I didn't find out it was missing until the hatch popped itself open in the car wash, probably due to water contamination. The next morning, the clock reset itself. A day or two later, the power door locks began cycling click-click-click-click while I was driving, and the clock would randomly be reset in the mornings when I would start the car to go to work.

I took the hatch handle off, cleaned it up, and replaced the missing lens. The clock eventually stopped resetting itself, but the door locks got so bad that I had to remove the fuse. After that, everything was quiet for a few weeks, and I was content to unlock the car manually.

I didn't drive the Mini for a few days last week. I took it out on Sunday, and I knew something was up when the RH window didn't drop down when I opened the door. When I tried the window, it rolled down normally, but the auto-up function is inop, and it will not stay closed, but bounces open to the halfway point. I tried several different re-initialization procedures that I read about on NAM, but nothing has helped.

Anyone have any clue as to what could have caused all this, besides demonic posession? I'm guessing it has to go to Mini at this point for reprogramming. What should I expect to spend? I have to take it in for the timing chain recall and turbo heat shield recall anyway...may as well get these other issues addressed at the same time.

Sounds like a short or the chip is failing. I would get a DVM and start shooting wires.
