I am in MI and yesterday morning it was -10°F outside and 2°F after work. The idle was very rough and the half colored in CEL light was on. In the morning after warm-up the CEL turned off and the car drove fine. After work the idle was much worse. It looked like there may have been come fluid under the car so I turned it off and had my wife pick me up. Has anyone else experienced similar problems in the cold?

I have a 2009 R56 Justa.

I was finally able to get a tow truck to pick the car up. I'll update as I know more.

 

I heard back from the dealer today. They ran the diagnostic and pulled a code indicating a fault in the valve timing system. The car was low on oil by two quarts and the thermostat housing was cracked. Fixing the thermostat and an oil changed cleared the issue up.
