Hesitation upon full throttle

Roughly around 3k rpms in third fourth and fifth I accelerate and seems to have no power then builds power again. I have read on here that people replace the HPFP with no luck fixing it and doing many other things. But one said try sea foam because it could be a serious build up of carbon and other gunk. Any solutions or tips out there?

I am experiencing something similar with my 04 R53, cruises fine, gentle roll on also fine.....any gear, low R's, apply heavy load (stand in the throttle) it starts hesitating, kind of shooting ducks but with more of a lean pop, if I get out of it, it does fine, stay in it too long and it drops #1 and throws a code for #1 injector misfire, still chasing it........good times

It has Weapon R intake, 1 step colder NGK's, 16% M7 pulley.... Having fun with it !!

Gen1 cars DO NO HAVE A HPFP.... consider yourself LUCKY!!
Also carbon issues are VERY rare.... again...VERY rare on a gen1
Might be a sticky bypass valve...
But could be from overdue sparkplugs....a sliping belt, or corrosion on the coil or bad wires....even from low octane fuel....any idea on what was done to the car for prior MX?
Diagnosing a cars issues online is kinda like diy brain surgery...we can tell you what you need to check out....but it is up to your skill level and knowledge to get it done....every bit of info you have is important....such as sounds...smells...etc...
Does it do it hot AND cold? Only from a full stop or from a rolling stop? Same rpms?
One place not worth looking is THE GEN2 FORUMS.....you have a different motor (Brazilian built Tri-tec)....different design...built on a different continent out of a different metal (cast iron) by a different company....
Think I made my point...
Congrats on the car...
Good move to get it sorted before modding it!!

It does it same area of rpms every time. Doesn't throw any codes nothing it just pauses my rpms for a second then continues to gradually go up
