Vacuum leak..probably

So I was wondering what the most common vacuum leaks are on our cars (r56 mini cooper s)...as I have a leak on my passenger side that I've yet to nail down. It seems to make more noise during deceleration and definitely more so during turns if that makes any sense. Really it has no consistent frequency, though it's never high pitched (does that help -description wise?) and if I had to guess i would say it's coming from somewhere around the noisemaker. I tried listening all around the engine bay with it running, but still couldn't find it. Also, it does seem to hiss a little after I shut the car off, again not every time, but probably most of the time. I know this isn't much information to go on, but please offer any advice you can. Also, my idle is sporadic though that could be attributed to not having the carbon cleaned off the intake valves, which I desperately need to do soon. I bought it at 35k miles, and it's over 80k now, and I haven't had it done in that time frame. No idea about before that.

If it is a supposed vacuum leak, there will likely be a code thrown, either a Pxxxx code from a check engine light or a short code associated with the half-filled check engine light in the tach display.

Yeah the tube running from my air intake to the turbo was nearly off, it's slipped off before despite tightening it down and continuing to check its tightness periodically.Once I reconnected it, the sound is now almost unnoticeable, and I've yet to have a check engine light ever come on before or after tightening the hose back up. The check engine light did come on, well flashed a few times during a cold-ish (like 50s) morning when I started off pretty fast, probably not allowing enough time after startup to warm up the car. Also, is there supposed to be an inner slip ring sort of thing inside that tube, that slips on directly to the turbo and then the intake hose clamps on to that? That's what mine has, and it says "AEM" on it. Again I bought the car used, so I don't know if that's supposed to be there, but I assume so.
