Low speed Fan

I am new to the forum so please forgive me if I am doing something wrong, I posted in another place that I needed some help with my radiator fan and no one replied, I know somebody here has the right answers, I need to know how long should the engine run before the low speed fan comes on? when I turn the airconditioner on the fan comes on, I have never gotten a over heating message but I am worried why the fan isn't coming on I am scared to drive the car very far ( I usually commute about 10 miles at a time) in fear it may over heat! anybody have any answers?

Hi, Welcome,I don't have a 2nd generation R56 but do you have a hard top or a convertible ? The low speed fan on the first gen comes on at 220F I believe that on your car assuming that you have an R56 is around 230 but I'm sure someone will pop up with the right number.

Just FYI 2007 convertible still uses the supercharged engine 2008 being the last year and the 2007 hard top is turbo.
