I have searched and haven't found an exact answer. So I a 2010 clubman S and i have a quick like 5 seconds of buzzing when I shut down the engine. It sounds like it it coming from below the air box like near the exhaust mani. If any one knows what this may be please help

It just started about 2 weeks ago and I have had the car for about 6 months

Does it sound like a electrical buzz or Mechanical? I believe I know what is, the second you turn off your car the aux water pump begins cycling to cool your turbo, if its going bad you need to act quickly! You need the aux pump to pump coolant through your turbo to keep it from damage!

That's what I thought it was but it seemed like it was coming from else where. I'm going to look at it again tonight

Just be sure to remove the positive battery thermal before poking around under the hood!

The satellite radio module under my 09's passenger seat makes noise from the fan running after shutdown. Doesn't sound like what you are describing though.

I have the same sound too after I shutdown the car, its like a 3-5 second buzz. I checked the recalls and I have nothing open right now.

That doesn't really seem like the same problem. Also the buzzing is definitely coming from the back of the engine, like around the exhaust manifold. Anyone have any ideas on what this could be?

Wow sorry I just realize I have been saying it was near the exhaust manifold, disregard that, it is definitely coming from near the Intake manifold

I'm pretty sure it's not the aux water pump
