Hey so i have a 2007 MCS 52000 miles on it. I notice a knocking sound coming from the top of the motor. its not the death rattle, i have had that and taken care of it already. this is somthing different, it is not a consistant knock knock knock, instead it will knock a couple times and then stop for a second then knock a few more then stop then knock then stop. so its not a consistand pattern of knock but very more random. also it completly stops when i have the clutch engaged. so basically only does it at idle. i know this is a bad description but im not very engine savy. thanks for any help.

 

Sounds like a engine mount or suspension. Look for one that's loose or worn.
