Is their a recall on the wiring?

My 2003 mini cooper has wiring issues. I found 5-6 wires shorting out messing up radio reception, fixed that, power steering fan received no power, had to rerun wires for that, and now transmission is acting up. Replaced transmission computer, and got a main computer. Main computer wasn't flashed, but without the car starting you can move the shifter to see what gear you are in, and it said P all the time which is the issue so neither computer fixed the issues.

That is a video to help show what I mean by issues I am having.

Nope...
A few folks have fried wiring harnesses from doing things like adding driving lights without a relay to handle the ampage....
on a 10 year old car, if it has been exposed to salt/mag-chloride decicer, wiring problems do happen...
have you found why in the bad wiring the wire failed? Kink, bend, chafe, or perhaps corrosion from a spot a person probed with a volt- meter when doing prior work (a terrible practice some folks use)?

P.S.
Are you sure the tranny is NOT the issue? The cvt has a pretty bad reputation....

Yes I am sure. After a new transmission computer I was able to drive the car just fine until I started it again later. Somebody online told me it needs re-adapted, so looking at a usb obII scanner, and bmw software about $100 for both, and then I can readapt it to fix her up again.

What do you mean by chafe? No corrosion or anything, the radio wires looked like somebody took a knife, and sliced the sides or they scraped something, but they where wrapped in the factory velcro crap. I pulled that crap right off without a knife, and found the wires touching each other. I cut them, and spliced on new wire fixing the radio issues.

Power steering fan I am not sure what was up with that.

Chafe= rubbing on something that cuts it or scrapes away the wiring's insulaion....
There have been a few posts on readapting a cvt...guess it can be done no-tool...think waymotorworkd described how to do it no-tool to somebody who installed a rebuilt tranny a few months ago.
