Torn engine mount

Pretty sweet eh? Does anyone have a link to DIY for this?

"torn engine mount" ? ? ?

what's that?

do you need to replace a failed GEN1 fluid mount??????

What do you do with your car? Do you track it? There are better options than OEM...

Check your upper mount carefully--if you've blown the lower, the upper is at risk. And it's a mess when it goes.

I don't track it....yet. The lower one seems to be in good shape still and no sign of leaks.(not bad for 92k and 3 owners).

Am I able to get powerflex inserts for the top keep the old mount?

Yes, PowerFlex makes inserts for the early Gen1 motor mounts (top and bottom.)

Get a new one from Pelican Parts or Auto Parts Warehouse. I had poly inserts in mine and went back to stock after a few years. Vibration is much more at idle (A/C on) with the poly. I also had the lower small poly replacement bushing destroy itself. Didn't notice this until I was putting stock one's back in but one of the bushing halves was gone and the other side was about half torn away.
