Does anyone know of a place ,site or anything that gives ideas to dress up the "S" engine? I already have done the basics but am trying to find out how to get rid of all that ugly black plastic. I want to cover it or replace it with eith chrome or carbon fiber. Any help please.

You can probably email them to find out when this will be available...

info@forgemotorsport.co.uk

All I was told was that it should be available soon, and to keep an eye on their website for details.

Ahhh! I just checked their website, and they have some MINI stuff out there now!

Went to the Auto show yesterday (Miami) and asked the MINI rep there if any products that would be coming out soon. He looked at me like I was from another planet. I then started to quiz him with a few questions like what the little red button is on the dash and what the cut out is on the front grill and rear bumper. He did not know either. Well after I educated him he knows now Where do they get these guys???

My experience with the L.A. autoshow was that the company reps were generally not that well versed in the products. Enthusiasts that use the web are usually way way ahead in terms of product knowledge. Just take it for what it is, an opportunity to sit in the cars.

The cutouts are for towing. In my MCS I got a little toolkit with a screw-turner, a little hooky thing with a finger loop and a heavy-duty looking threaded loop. Behind the cutout in the rear bumper (US passenger side) is a hole that the loop screws into nicely. Perfect for attaching a tow-rope. On the same side of the car, in the front lower grille is a similar cutout with the same kind of threaded hole behind it. I guess you can either tow or be towed with these.

I sure think that top mounted intercooler makes for a well dressed engine as is.
