crank gasket leak

crank gasket leak

Im having a minor leak there and i must change the gasket. Are there high quality gaskets to choose from?

Front crank seal or rear main seal? as for high quality replacement, OEM.

i dont really know whats the front or rear, but when lifting the car you can see it underneath
as for OEM what do you mean?

why would the OEM be the best? aren't there any other brands?

Oem=mini
OEM= Original Equipment Manufacturer. Why is it better? It does not always make it better bu the OEM usually does not cut corners to make it cheaper. Thats not to say the aftermarket one is made cheaper in all cases. There are many they have improved on the OEM's part. So just buy a quality brand.

I think that crank gaskets are a pretty important spare part so ill be looking to find something better than the OEM, but what would the better -or best- quality brand for gaskets be?

this is it guys, its after a hard drive so u can see that the oil is burned there but u can see some remainings of how it was spread

Old thread, but someone isnt mislead, this is not a crank seal or RMS leak, but likely the oil filter housing or turbo feed line or both.
