I started smelling gasoline today, and when I popped the hood, I can smell it right by the upper right-hand-side of the engine. Anybody know if this might be the high-pressure fuel pump? I'm not getting any stalling or start-up problems at this time. 2009 factory JCW w/ 19700 miles.

I started smelling it earlier in the day, in town driving at a couple of lights with my window down. My wife was with me and smelled it, too. We got to our location, and I popped the hood. I was able to catch just a little hint, and when we got back to the car, nothing.

When I got home, I popped the hood again, and that's when I smelled it up by the engine. I hoping it's the HPFP because it would be covered under warranty, while the rest of the car has expired.
