Tire wear!
Tire wear!
I have an 08 clubman and I noticed all 4 tires are wearing on the inside. I purchased the car used so I am not sure how many miles are on the tires. I have had the tires rotated and an alignment done 2000 miles ago with no change. They are Bridgestone grid tires, OEM size. Just wondering if anyone else has this issue with all four tires.
I'll be gentle. This subject has been cussed and discussed numerous times on NAM. MINI builds in negative camber to enhace the driving experience. It increases the cornering stability. What you are seeing is normal wear IF alignment and toe are correct. You are on the right track by rotating the tires. I and many others rotate at around 5K, but there is room for opinions there. If you have directional tires then you ratate them front to back or visa versa (
couldn't resist). Non directinal tires rotate by crossing back to front and front straight back. Hope this helps. Also, for normal 'round town driving and the occasional road trip, standard all season tires will give you the best wear. High performance tires are generally good for only 20 to 40K miles.

How bad is the wear? If it's not bad, then don't fret about it.
Do you have the alignment specs for after your alignment was set? Toe-out, in combination with negative camber, can really eat up the inside edges of tires very quickly.
I have about 13K miles on my MINI (2012 Cooper) so far, and haven't noticed unusual tire wear so far.

Before
LF camber -1.05 and toe .13
RF camber -.30 and toe .05
LR camber -2.26 and toe .22
RR camber -1.41 and toe .09
After
LF camber -.71 and toe .10
RF camber -.49 and toe .09
LR camber -1.78 and toe .20
RR camber -1.79 and toe .16
Since the car was used, I am not sure when the last time it was checked. Since I have only put 5000 miles on the car, I am sure it started before I got the car.

who did your alignment? you could always request that the shop set your alignment up for best tire wear. As for your above specs (after specs), looks like they set you up for factory recommended specs, though the question is, the shop who performed this alignment did they adhere to properly weighting the vehicle (to represent a full tank of gas as well as potential passengers). Recommendation for rear if your looking for best tire wear would be @ -1.25 with roughly .16-.19 toe in, though some will go as little as -1.1 for rear camber settings. As for the front specs looks good.
