Here is the problem...

Went to get a smog right after I bought the mini and the results were not so bad. I failed the 15 mph NO (PPM). I was at 516 and you can have a max of 467. On the 25 mph for NO (PPM) I passed it was 308 and your allowed 754.

The tech guy said 02 sensor catalytic converter or fuel injection problem.
where do I start?

 

Check with the seller...in many states they are responsible (if it was a dealer).
any modifications done on the car you know of?

 

When I bought the car the ac was not working and took it to the dealer to fix it the same day I bought it, dealer took more than 30 days to fix the problem so seller is not answering any of my calls back.

 

I forgot to mention that I don't have any light in my dashboard like check engine.
I was reading that some of the cats needs to be warm before you run the smog check?
