I have a 2006 base model covertible with the 5 speed getrag. I pulled apart the transmission and found out the bearing on the counter shaft went bad and destroyed my counter shaft. I talked to the BMW dealer and they tell me they do not sell individual transmission parts,I have to buy the entire unit. I have been checking the internet but can't find anyone selling parts either. Can anyone tell me where to get the parts or maybe another solution to this problem?

 

try an AAMCO or transmission rebuilder. MINI was not lying about getting individual parts. they're unavailable. either that or source a used transmission. Good luck bud
