Installed my Helix shortshifter, Alta rearswaybar and used Quicksilver Exhaust on Saturday--took a drive that night and how sweet!

Sunday I just planned to quickly install a new lower grille...well, getting the bumper partly apart I figured might as well install the OEM retro fit front fog lights--that kit is a mess==much harder than anything I did Saturday! Ended up getting the grille on, and the fog lights installed but left the wiring off....

So I had both front wheels off, and the wheel wells, and the bumper loose....I put it all back together, and Monday I drive to work and-- I have a thunk!

Sounds like the LF wheel hitting something, happens when I let off the gas or its in neutral between shifting gears...not evident when accelerating or stepping on the brake, but let off the gas (without braking ) and its there...sound slows down as car slows down...happens when turning to left, doesn't seem to happen when turning to right....sounds like its coming from left front end...

I don't see any rubbing, the interior wheel wells seem intact....I'm worried that when I dropped the jack (tried to let it down slowly but kinda went fast) I bent or broke something on the axel or something?
How do I evaluate this problem, since I don't see anything right offhand? Help!

Strange puzzle.... I would recheck the left front wheel bolts for loose bolts and re-torque them. I can't imagine you would have bent anything, you should have been able to drop the car from higher than that without damage. The thunking sound does sound wheel related since it happens during turning and letting off the throttle. Good luck!

You are one lucky man, er person......SuperMINI would probably agree that you don't want to be doing that to often.....wheels coming off cars can be VERY expensive and dangerous......
