My drivers side door will not open. WTF! I have an 03 Cooper s. I have fixed the cable stretch problem once on this door. Now I have a new problem. The door will unlock but not open. I can unlock it using the inside door pull but on the second pull the door remains shut. I tried to open the door using the outside handle and got the same result. My guess is that the motor that drives the pin has failed.

I need help. Does anyone know how I can open my door? What should I replace? Thanks in advance.

 

Can you hear the cabe moving around when you pull on the handle?
