2011 MCS Manual with bunch of error codes
2011 MCS Manual with bunch of error codes
I just pulled a lengthy list of error codes from my 2011 MCS (N18 engine, manual trans) because of an ongoing issue. The issue I have is that when it's 95+ outside, and my car sits in the sun, I get a half engine power notification in the tach but no CEL and I don't actually get half power
. I check that code and it tells me CCID 029. A few days ago, the engine would hesitate only the first time i pressed the accelerator. It was like the pedal did nothing, and then all of a sudden gave me full power for a split second, threw an actual CEL this time, and was back to normal. CEL went away the next day, and the dealer wasn't concerned since the CEL wasn't red...
I just pulled the error history with INPA, and the most I could get out of it was a list of hex codes. Anyone able to translate theses codes?

What scanner is such? That doesn't sound like an approved MINI-protocol scanner.
All I can cross-reference is the DME (ECU logic) faults:
* MINI DTC P10D0 (0x29DC) - Charge Air Temperature Sensor, Plausibility, Cold Start: Temperature Too High
* MINI DTC P1260 (0x2C58) - Boost Pressure Control, Deactivation: Boost Pressure Build-up Blocked
* MINI DTC P10D4 (0x293B) - Coolant Temperature Sensor, Plausibility, Cold Start: Temperature Too Low
* MINI DTC P316B (0x2947) - Engine Coolant Temperature Signal Stuck
For starters, replace that Coolant Temperature Sensor (CTS); that's a known common issue that's been overhauled.
I cannot; you may want to check with Bavarian Technic to see if they can decipher the other powertain / convenience codes.
Regardless, with that many active fault codes present, I'd head to the dealer as your warranty will cover such.
