It's a 2004 MCS. The tach stopped working while driving, and the dash lights don't work either. Everything else seems to function normally, the only other odd thing is that the one touch opening and closing function on the sunroof no longer works, have to hold the button to open and close.

I've been doing some research here, and it seems like the most likely solution is to replace the speedometer which controls the dash functions. First question, is this a plug and play item? If I buy one from ebay, will it need to be programmed by the dealer to display correct mileage? Second question, am I correct in looking at the speedo cluster, or could it be a bcm problem, considering the change in the sunroof operation?
