Woo-ing noise?

Over the past week or two my car has developed a strange woo-ing noise at speed? (air going over a gap, or as if you were blowing over the top of a bottle like a low pitched whistle) It only happens at speed, and doesn't have anything to do with the revs. (put it in neutral and let the car coast down, noise continues in and out of gear with no change)

As for where the noise comes from, I have no idea...from the drivers side it seems to be coming from the passengers side, from the passengers side it seems to be coming from the drivers side, so somewhere down the middle...

Any ideas as to what it might be?

Have you had your front windshield replaced? Mine took a rock shortly after I got my car, requiring replacement. Over the next couple months I noticed a sound like you describe, and only at freeway speed of around 70MPH or higher. Turns out it was the seal around the windshield.

No, I haven't had the windshield replaced, and the sound starts out at much lower speeds. I noticed that my hood scoop was loose at the front, I think the clips broke... So i'm gonna take it off and ride around to see if it's that, but I'll do that tomorrow, it's raining right now ):

Anyone have a silver or black oem hood scoop they're not using? :P

Have you checked your wheel bearings at all?

Its not too bad if you do it yourself.

You can get a mechanics stethoscope at harbor freight for like 8 bucks. However you should be able to feel play or hear it when you spin the wheel.
