A/C serviced on my 2005 R53 S

This week I had the following items taken care of:

1) Replaced radiator fan relay unit (Non-functioning fan low speed setting) with a new aftermarket unit supplied by chad at Detroit tuned.

2) Had A/C pressure checked and although it was cooling, vent temperatures were about 10 degrees higher than they should have been (Around 60F). Since the fan relay was replaced, I though it was proper to perform a full A/C system evac and full recharge. all other components (Evaporator, condenser, etc were also inspected).

3) Replaced filthy air cabin filter. Oh My! I don't think the filter had been replaced in years. It was nasty!

End result = Ice cold A/C again!!!! I can pretty much hang off fresh Omaha steaks on the dash vents. Is that good now!

Moral of the story: Summer is here. Get your A/C checked/service for maximum summertime driving comfort.

I have the exact same car and symptoms you do. Could you tell me which fan relay part you bought? How much did it cost to do all that work? How did you examine the evaporator, its kinda difficult to get to. Also how did you diagnose it was a bad fan relay?
