Hard Start/Cooling Fan Runs Constantly

Ive been having this issue with my '07 MCS where when I first go to start it, it takes a couple times for it to turn over. As soon as I start it, not 10 minutes after its been running, the cooling fan turns on and stays on and the temp warning light comes on. When I turn my car off my fan runs for about 20 minutes or so. Weird part is, is that not matter how long I drive with the temp light on my car never overheats nor does it act like its over heating. Im thinking it may be my Coolant Temp Sensor. Can anyone re assure me on my assumption?

Yeah, you're spot on with the Coolant Temperature Sensor (CTS).
Definitely start there as the CTS thinks the engine is hotter than what actual temps are.
