Clutch slipping @ 37K Need advise

So I have a couple of performance upgrades:

Intake + Boost tube
FMIC
Forge DV
Muffler delete
Accessport Stage 1 FMIC

Not too crazy but my clutch started slipping at 37K, im really not that hard on the car. Anyways, I need a new one. I'm thinking the factory clutch is weak at this point. Ive seen only a couple of aftermarket clutches, ie clutch masters and Giken and Spec. Well the clutchmasters and Giken are way to expensive $1200-1780.

So my question is are there any other brands out there that im not seeing and I would like some opinions/adivse for what stage Spec clutch I should go for.

This happened to me at 42K, and I have similar mods - but I got the car used at 34K. I went with a new stock clutch and I've been happy - now at 51K. However, I only went this route because I was looking for it to be covered under warranty, and half of the labor and 100% parts were covered. Still have warranty on the drivetrain.

The JCW clutch is supposed to be stronger and might last a bit longer.

In general I seriously doubt the mini oem clutch is the problem. 2003 with 78000 miles and the clutch was fine with no signs of slippage. I expect my 2012 to be just as good. Riding the clutch is the likely cause of most peoples clutch problems. And I am also told that the dead peddle is there for a reason. Use it and don't hold the clutch in when the car is stopped.

The different stage clutches vary with each manufacturer. They are tailored to hold different torque ratings. The higher the stage, the higher torque capacity. The problem with this system is the higher stage clutches also have tougher engagement and harder pedal effort which compromise street drivability. Furthermore, the lifespan of aftermarket performance clutches is less than that of the OEM version. There is also an updated clutch/flywheel conversion kit for stock minis made by Valeo.
We sell the OS Giken, SPEC, as well as the stock Valeo kit. The OS GTR is pretty aggressive for street drivability. The Spec is a good option with with a less aggressive pedal at a good price. I recently put in an updated Comp Clutch with stage 2 organic disc and lightweight flywheel (the old ones had throwout bearing issues). Its only been about 1000 miles but the pedal effort/engagement is almost identical to stock. Since my car won't see over 250ft-lbs at the wheels, the stage 2 was a clear choice for me. My suggestion is to do some number crunching and forecasting for the performance of your MCS. Then choose a clutch that meets your needs for lifespan, torque rating, and price.
