Ok so whilst I am awaiting my slave cylinder as the old one was leaking I decided to try and see if I could drive the car clutchless.


As some of you guys may remember I pretty much rebuilt most of my clutch.

DMF skeemed, clutch plate rebonded, and pressure plate had new plate replaced but retained original housing and forks. Throw out bearing original.

If you remember from the pics the clutch disk was badly worn and pressure plate warped and flywheel hotspotted.

Anyway it was a real learning experience that I can tell you haha. I will point out this is temporary to get me back on the road and if it lasts 6 months or more great.

So here's what I wanted to hear from you guys start the car up in second it jerks a few times then it's fine and picking up speed as would if you started in second. I managed to get it up to 100 miles clutchless and the power seems to be back.

I just hope that the slave is what was causing it to not engage into gear otherwise would you say everything seems to have gone well?
