Mine did it at 35K miles. New fluid and program upgrade at MINI fixed it. YMMV.

I though it would be more serious like a loose steel belt in the CVT. i want to sell my car so I have to fix that ,it's kinda annoying to drive like that plus I'm selling the car to a nurse at my work place that is not in a position where she can afford major repairs on a mini, probably not the best car for her but she trust me so I don't want to let her down. Thanks for the info,I will bring the car to the dealership, regards

Considering the CVT is often a $7000+ ticking time bomb, I would advise against selling it to someone you know and like.

I had a 2006 MC with CVT until last week. It was always a little herky jerky right starting out from a stop. I just learned to sort of feather the power on and not slam down on the gas. No other issues in that time, and it wasn't something that got worse with age. I put 109K on it before it got totaled.

Jerky transmission

Good to hear that it didn't get worst. Yes when I feather the throttle it's okay but it's not how people drive a car normally,I never had a cvt before and never will again but wonder how other cars with cvt are,I would assume that they don't jerk like that,it's probably typical of the Mini cvt.
