I know I saw someone else ask a similar question, but after about 10 minutes of searching the forum I could not find it. I think it was old anyway.

So I have this mysterious chime that randomly accords. It sounds similar to other warning chimes, like the speed limit chime, but ends on a down note; like my mini is sad or something.

My daily commute is an hour each way: 2 miles to the highway, hop on, drive 56 miles, then hop off HWY, then 2 miles to work parking lot. The mysterious chime will play once and only once during each trip, to and from work. Sometime it plays 5 minutes into my commute, other times in the middle and yet other times near the end of my drive.

It has been in the 50 to 80s in cincy area, so it is not the snow/weather warning. I have the NAV system in my 2008 MCS and the System Status screen says all is OK. The BC displays no warning icons. I always keep tank above 1/4 full with 90 or 92 petrol. TPM is OK. Everything I check seems fine. And the MINI run great!

Has anybody had this or similar issue and if so what is it or how to fix it?

Stupid question but was the chime on the top of the hour? Thwe clock has a chime that can be turned on or off.
