Supercharger Rebuilt Kit - Is KWIKPHYX a scam?

My supercharger's tensioner end was making noise.

So I pulled my supercharger off. Luckily, both the front and the rear ends had supercharger oil overflew after the refill plug loosened.

My conclusion is that the gears should be okay and I just need to replace the bearings and seals.

I placed an order with KWIKPHYX more than a week ago for its complete rebulid kit:
http://www.kwikphyx.com/categories/A...s/Mini-Cooper/

I've confirmed with them and they said that it is in stock. Now, more than a week has passed and the order status is still "Awaiting Fulfillment"

I've emailed them and sent them about the status, but got no answer. I've started to feel suspicious.

Does any of you know about this rebuild kit? Any other places to get the bearings and the seals? Or can someone be so kind to provide me the specs of those parts? I can see that the bearings are from INA and RBI, but no idea about the seals.

I have not done business with them but on several occasions I have visited their web-site. It makes me nervous. No physical address, no p.o.box, no city/state, nothing. If I'm missing something will someone please let me know, as if they are in fact legit I might be in the market for their rebuild kit myself.

You are so right!

I just got a feedback from a vendor and they said that KWIKPHYX took their money and never shipped anything.

F....k, now I have to deal with my VISA company to get my $130 back beside looking for a rebuild kit.

By looking at their website, I'd be leary about anyone selling sporting goods , cell phone batteries and auto parts all from the same company. By drilling down through their menus on their other offerings, they all came to a dead end with "There are no products to offer in this catagory".

I was also ripped off by KWIKPHYX. I placed an order only after several emails back and forth with whoever replied to the inquiry form on the website. He seemed knowledgeable and I felt confident I could rebuild my M62 at home using a press. This was the only place I could find the parts specific to my Mercedes M62 but I was suspicious of the disorganized layout of the site and copyright date. After placing the order I got no more replies to my emails to all the addresses I could find. I did have to dispute the charge and was successful.
The host is "Big Commerce" of Australia, explaining the IP address. I emailed them a complaint and got a reply that they would handle it from their end. I suggest you do also. As of this writing the site is still up. I am resurrecting this thread so others might avoid being ripped off in the future.

I did a ton of research trying to find the exact parts for a rebuild. The bearings were pretty easy as they all have part numbers on them. I too had a problem finding the right seals. I ended up sending my M62 to Stiegmeier Performance for a rebuild and port. It wasn't cheap but I am pleased with the result.
