I can't tell if my clutch is slipping or not. The gear box shifts smooth between gears even under pretty hard acceleration. If I’m in any gear but first and floor it once I get to a higher RPM like 4500 -5000 the car slows acceleration and the RPM's SLOWY still rise up. The engine sounds like its working but the car loses must of its power. The RPM's are not free revving and go up a steady pace so that’s why I don't know it's the clutch of something else. It feels almost like my airflow is being limited at high RPM’s or the car is cutting boost. I have no CEL except my brake light that's indicting I need new brake pads.

 

Checked for fault codes with a MINI-approved scanner?
Just because there's no CEL doesn't mean faults aren't present.

The slow acceleration and "limited" performance doesn't sound like a clutch issue, instead check fuel delivery and ignition components.

The car just threw a CEL at me go figure.

 

The code was P2188 (Running Rich at Idle) my only mods are Alta full intake, hot side boost tube, & Alta BOV spring. I think it could possibly be the faulty HPF pump sending bad signals at higher RPM's. I have cleared the code and going see how it drives today also I might clean the MAF sensor because I have be running that same alta foam filter for 30k miles.
