hey guys,

My '02 MCSs' sunroof shudders when closing and I'd like to try cleaning and lubing the rails, but I can't find a good how-to with good pics. Closest one I found is from the zippeeshade company and their how-to w/ sunroof motor install.

What's the most effective way of cleaning it? Q-tips?

Am I just blasting it with the the white lithium spray or does it need to be wiped down after?

 

Just wipe down the rails clean then using gloves and Q-tip, apply grease in the rails and the joints on the brackets. First day After buying my used MCS with 78k miles on it, it shuddered as well. Cleaned and greased it and it's worked flawlessly ever since.
