Iwas browsing through the part catalog at realoem and saw a part for the rear sunroof panel 54347278097 (Buffer rear left) and 54347278098 (buffer rear right). I inspected my sunroof and could not see such a thing installed back there and was wondering if any of you with the sunroof actually has one of those "seats" for the rear panel...

A picture of the part would be nice, so that I know if it would be helpfull in stopping the sunroof squeaking on spirited driving.

 

Me thinks your eyes are playing on you...it says "Puffer" NOT "Buffer"...still don't know what it is, just thought I'd point this out!!

 

Haha... True, but I did translate the word to english. Not sure if Puffer as used here literally means buffer or bumper in english, but you do get the meaning Strange think is that it says "No Stock" on the right column, so not sure what to make of it. BMMiniParts does not list them in there diagrams so it could be something not fitted on the newer models...
