Interior lights flashing?

I noticed while driving tonight that the ambient light in the driver door and the puddle light flash alternately. It's really odd that it's only the driver's door and not the passenger, and it doesn't seem to be that the door is open. When I open the door it stops flashing.

I searched the forums and didn't come up with anything, anyone else ever had this issue?

oh yeah, 08 MCS.

Do you have the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack in the 8-track.... A known issue!

I wish it was in time to the music, but it's not. It's ok unless I'm on a dark highway which it seems I always am and then it's a bit distracting.

with all the kidding aside it does sound like it could be distracting.

Those are controlled thru the Foot Well module.

I would recommend as a first step to disconnect the battery for 30 minutes or more and then reconnect to see if the problem goes away. This will reset all the computers in the car.

If that does not correct the problem then it could be a loose connection issue which could be hard to find.

Moisture inside the door wiring harness is a known issue (causing many locking and window problems). If not under warranty, you may want to take the door panel apart and check out the wiring connectors for corrosion and insulate the connections with dielectric grease.

Lol!

The dealer did that to my car after experiencing the doors unlocking and windows rolling down halfway by themselves.

I am having the same issue. This is the only thing I can find about it online. Were you able to fix this issue? If so what was wrong with it? I'm at a complete loss. Thanks in advance,
