What's that rattling sound?

I've noticed a rattling/clunking coming from what seems to be the engine compartment. It's loudest during idle and low speeds. If I shut the climate-control OFF, the noise all but vanishes.

will it make the noise if the A/C is off yet the climate control is on. if so it sounds like you have a bad A/C compressor.
