Flushed brake fluid- what are these codes?

Flushed the brake fluid. Brakes pads are pretty worn but they look like I should still have another thousand miles or so left. However, the indicator light just went on. I think that I may have sped up the process by way of the new brake fluid. Oh well, thats ok I want to change out the pads and rotors anyway.

But there is a code in the spedo. The far left displays the trip/clock as it is supposed to, but it is followed by "03" in the middle, and "1094" on the right. I was thinking that it was related to the light indicating pads are required, but was thinking that the other number (1094) would coundown how many more miles I can drive with the current pads. To my surprise, the number is counting up. Is this supposed to represent the miles driven since indicator light went on or is it something else?

What's your mileage? It sounds as if you may have gone past service interval #3.

What year mini?!
This posted in the gen1 r53/r50/r52 forum.
The display on a gen 1 counts down to the next inspection...then counts up..no codes.

Was it doing this before resetting the computer or did it start after?

Changed the motor oil and reset computer 2 weeks ago. never did it before so it took a couple of tries then reset showing 15000 until next oil change. Flush and replaced brake fluid earlier this week, 2 days later hit the brakes semi-hard stop from 90-100 mph and indicator light for brakes went on. I knew it was almost time for pads but thought i had some more time. I think the fresh fluid sped up the process! It was at this point that i noticed codes in speedo. I got the car a few weeks ago with 30k miles.

The brake pad sensor is just a wire...it gets cut on the rotor...the light hoes on...no fancy estimating miles till pads are needed. Fault codes are displayed by the check engine light...then checked with a scanner.
Not sure what you are seeing...have you played with the trip odemeter/trip computer?

Brake sensor wire, once the sensor is worn on the pad creating an open circuit you can either buy new sensor wires, or just cut off the end and strip the wires and twist together to close the circuit again.

Can't remember if you have to reset the dashboard light though.
