why does this happen only in Oklahoma and Kansas

http://youtu.be/jDzLfc56y04This http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iP6SSqCql4 This only happens going to and from last years 2010 MINIs in the Mountains!! and it stopped... as I got closer to Texas....and then never happen again in Texas ...."and I forgot about it" Until I went to this years 2011MINIs in the Mountains!!! and the noise drives me crazy!!!! the window makes a loud whistle and big wind noise!! it happens only on remote long back road drives...when I hit a pot hole... or if a big Ole 18 wheeler is coming the opposite way and the pressure from the 18 wheeler makes the window act crazy!!
I would have to pull over!! open all the windows!! and REpressurize the cabin??? and the window will stay normal until the next bump in the road or big truck!!! NOW, this never happens when I'm in Texas on our freeways!! could it be its something to do with having wind brakes ie.. Buildings ...trees???
I'm probably going to take it in to the MINI dealership!!

I lived in OK for 12 years & I can say the wind in the plains is much different than the rest of the country.

Oklahoma is the only place I have been where the trees grow at angles to compensate for the constant wind that never dropped below 25MPH...And that is considered a calm day.

I didn't have a MINI at the time, but my Ford Escort windows would act up (seize) on the highway & all I got from Ford as a response was "don't try to roll down your windows on the highway" Thanks Ford.

If it only happens in those states, It might not be a problem, but if it was Butters, I would probably have it checked just in case.
