Valve Lifters going out!

I drive a 2002 MCS with approx. 116k miles on it, and the lifters are going out. Just getting louder and louder. The parts for the job is $750 at the deaership, and their labor is $250. I was wondering if anyone knew where I might be able to get the parts for cheaper? Pelican parts does not have lifters, nor does auto parts source. . .

Any ideas? I'm trying to do this on a more reasonable budget than $1000. Thanks everybody!

I have intake and exhaust rockers for sale in marketplace. PM sent to you.

Did they inspect your timing chain tensioner to rule that out?

Still waiting to hear back from MINI for the definite answer. They wanted to hold on to it over night. But he said he strongly suspects the lifters so I'll def get back to you with an answer later tonight or tomorrow sometime.
