OBC Display Issue, loose wire?

Hey guys,

So I just noticed that my OBC display is acting strangely. It splits it time, roughly equally, between:
1. Displaying everything properly
2. Displaying nothing
3. Displaying random jibberish, random pixels, lines, etc...

I dont know much about the system, but that makes me think it's a loose wire or connection somewhere. Would any of you be able to point me in the right direction for where to start looking?

First thing that comes to mind is your battery is dying.

You could try unscrewing the tach from the steering column and unplug/replug its connector. However, if the rest of the tach unit is functioning normally (rpm and warning lights), there is probably something going wrong with the physical LED display. The OBC feature is software programmed into the computer (not a physical device). The tach simply displays whatever data the computer sends (rpm, warning lights, obc, etc). If something is going wrong with the LED display, the tach is a single circuit board and there isn't much you can do besides replace the entire tach.

Mine is doing the exact same thing. Is yours a 2002? I am going to check the battery. I think I still have the factory battery. The tach and ebrake lights are working fine but the LED display has been doing the random gibberish for a few weeks and then went completely blank today.
